Jay Warren Hughes passed away on October 22, 2025 at the age of 87. He was born in East Orange, New Jersey on March 15, 1938 to Walter and Eveline(Weekes) Hughes.  He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Brown Hughes.  He has chosen cremation by the Neptune Society and he will be memorialized in the Wall at the National Cemetery in Plano, TX.  He served in the U.S. Army before going to college in West Virginia and receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration. He worked for several different oil companies during his lifetime.  After retirement he moved to Bowie TX and was a member of the Methodist Church.  He was involved with the Bowie Senior Center delivering meals for many years and serving on their board. Donations can be made to the Bowie Senior Center in his memory.
