I had the pleasure of meeting Jason through Barrett Jackson! The second I was introduced to him I instantly fell in love with his energy and his laugh, immediate friends right off the bat! One of my favorite memories was when I had moved back home to Washington and we did a video chat one night and put Whitney Houston music videos on the TV and had a living room karaoke dance sesh in our living rooms! He really did know how to light up a room and put a smile on your face! I will miss you my friend! 🖤

Jason, Jason, Jason, I am going to miss your late night calls (which woke me up every time) while you played our songs we would listen too growing up!  We had so many great memories and truly will miss talking about them with you.

Rest in Peace Cousin 😇💙

One summer Jason and I were at the cabin with Martha and Poncho and we just kept cracking each other up. One afternoon we couldn't stop laughing and Martha called us to have lunch and every time we looked at each other we started giggling. Martha asked us what is so funny!? We couldn't answer! Martha thought we were laughing at something she did but we just had the giggles, it came to the point we were not eating and Martha said if we don't stop laughing she is going to get the fly swatter! That just made things worse for us as we started laughing more and more! Martha finally got the fly swatter and gave us a little tap on the shoulder and we started crying with laughter! She said something in Spanish exasperated with us but we finally ate our lunch! It was probably the longest I had ever laughed in my life! That's what it was like to be around Jason, always smile, a joke, a kind word, something to make your day better.
He was such a wonderful kind soul. We hit it off like we were friends forever. He will truly be missed.

Losing a child in itself is heartbreaking, but to lose your only child is definitely devastating.  Jason had the warmest heart and a personality to melt it.

My sincerest condolences to the family and friends, he will be sorely missed.

Jason became part of our family over 30 years ago, when my daughter, Angela, worked with him at Perkins' restaurant.  He's been with her through life's ups and down, and vise versa. They helped each other. I'll miss you, Jason. I believe you're home, at peace, free of pain, and waiting for us. Love you

Jason was my cousin and will be very much missed by everyone who knew him. He was a naturally born hilarious person and also quite possibly one of the greatest white elephant gift givers the world has known :)

rest in peace cuz.

Sending deepest condolences to Dee and Gilbert. Love you guys.

My sister Ingrid Ortiz and myself (April Ortiz) would like to offer our condolences to our aunt Delores we cannot imagine the grief that u are going thru right now. Our thoughts, prayers and love is with you right now during this sad time. We have nothing but found memories of Jason.
My name is April Ortiz and I’m Jason’s cousin from his uncle Gilbert Ortiz. My all time favorite memory was 32yrs ago on Christmas Eve at our Nan Martha’s house and that Whitney Houston song “I will always love u” came on and Jason started singing it a the top of his lungs. My sister Ingrid and Amanda and myself were laughing so hard and it’s a memory we still talk about today. Christmas Eve was always so much fun at our Nana’s house.

Our deepest Condolences and Players for the Family.
