Jason's obituary

Jason was a vibrant and warm soul who will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona and lived his life surrounded by family and friends who loved him. He touched the hearts of many, and there were no strangers in his life, only friends he hadn't met yet. Jason loved to make everyone laugh, and loved to dance and sing, particularly to his favorite artists like Madonna and Cher.

Jason is survived by his mother and father, Dolores and Gilbert Bernal, his brother Gilbert A. Bernal, his lifetime friend and companion Angela Grimes, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and his precious nieces and nephew; Mirella Bernal (and her husband Bradley), Tori Bernal, and Christian Bernal. He loved being their uncle and shared lots of laughs with them.

Jason bravely battled his third experience with cancer, facing each challenge valiantly. Though he ultimately passed on October 19th, 2024, his funny, kind, and loving spirit remains with us through our laughter and wonderful memories.
