Anytime I buy a tech Christmas present, I will remember Jason's awesome advice to charge it up before wrapping it so that it can be enjoyed right away!
In response to "What always reminds you of Jason?"
I’ve been thinking all day about what I wanted to write or memories to share about Jason. There are just so many little things. I know he loved his boys more than anything, and he was so proud of all of their accomplishments. I know he loved the PNW, especially Whidbey Island.  He wrote me a letter once telling me all about it.  I can remember when I was little and he was a newspaper delivery boy in Hiawatha, and I wanted to go on his route with him so bad, but I woke up way too late for that. I remember him pushing me on swings at grandma and grandpas apartment.  He gave the best pushes that went oh so high! I know he lived on coffee and Pepsi for a long time.  I know he was proud of his time spent in the Navy.  He told me once that he thought Guam was one of the most beautiful and interesting places on Earth. He loved music, he liked to dance and he liked to jam out. I agree with Sen, Jason gave the most thoughtful gifts. He sent me a picture once he bought from a renaissance festival.  I thought it was so sweet something in that print made him think of me.  Any time I spent with Jason I felt peaceful, happy and secure. He was such a special human and we were all so blessed to have him.  Mary, Steve and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Jason was with us for a week or two.  He was a quiet child and didn't act out. But one day he had locked himself in the bathroom.  After he'd been in there quite some time I knocked on the door to ask if he was ok or needed anything. No answer.  I became worried and fretful, but I could hear him moving around. After a few  more minutes, he opened the door, walked past me and didn't say a word.  I saw that he had totally t-pd the whole room with a full roll of t-paper! I asked if he was mad or wanted to tell me anything.  He just grinned that Jason grin. I surmised he must have been totally bored and was entertaining himself. I don't know why this memory has always stayed with me.

Sending my love and big hugs to the whole Anglin clan. Jason was so loved. He was incredibly resilient. I'm thankful that despite the distance I have good memories of Jason...another big cousin in the mix.

Mom was so happy when Steve found a wonderful partner in Mary and a son in Jason. It was such a special start to your incredible family.

May you hold your memories close and be comforted in that love never dies.

My favorite gift that I ever received was from Jason. I must’ve been about 5 years old give or take. He had sent me an ornate wooden hand carved box with my name engraved in it. I think he had found it when he was stationed overseas. It is a jewelry box with a secret way to open a hidden key and a secret way to reveal the key hole. I still have the wooden box though the key has long since been lost and the box is a bit broken now. It’s still the most beautiful and thoughtful gift I’ve ever received.
A story I remember about Jason was from a few months back, I don't remember the exact date, but it was in the fall of 2022 when we got together to play Gears of War with one another, and I had to reteach him the mechanics of the game that he used to be amazing at and that he taught me years back, and that the whole time we were constantly making jokes and laughing at stupid deaths we took while playing.

Jason’s high school graduatio…
Jason’s high school graduation with Korbin
This is one of my most vivid memories of Jason from when I was young. He was pitching to me in the backyard in Topeka, KS. I hit a foul ball that went into the front yard. I sprinted through the front gate to get the ball but the gate swung back and smacked me in the forehead. I kept chasing the ball while wiping at a cobweb that wouldn’t go away. Turns out that cobweb was blood dripping from my forehead and I had to wear a giant piece of gauze under my ball cap that night at my game. It was fun… until the forehead smack happened.
