Officials stated that emergency responders were dispatched to her home shortly before 6:20 a.m., where Moltz was found unresponsive. Despite rapid medical intervention, she was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Janine Ann Moltz, age 53, of Geronimo, passed away after a four-year battle with cancer, on December 5, 2025. Janine was born on February 29, 1972, in Seguin, Texas to Charlene J. (Knutson) and Allan Ray Moltz.

According to a preliminary medical briefing released by the Guadalupe County Medical Examiner, no signs of foul play were discovered, and an autopsy is underway to determine the cause of death. Authorities emphasized that additional information will be made public only after toxicology results and family consultations are completed.

Moltz, known for her bright personality and generosity, spent more than two decades volunteering with local youth-art programs and organizing seasonal community craft fairs. Colleagues with the Seguin Creative Alliance described her as “a cornerstone of encouragement,” noting her work mentoring first-time exhibitors and supporting art students preparing for regional competitions.
