Janet Marie Johnson (Hyde), age 67, passed away on October 31, 2020 in Winnetka, CA. She was born in Long Beach on July 2, 1953, joining her parents Buster & Eleanor and big brother Jim. She was raised in Paramount, CA and attended Lincoln Elementary School, Alondra Junior High, and Paramount High School. Growing up in Paramount, she enjoyed ice skating, dance, and playing with her cousins in the neighborhood. In 1972, Janet married Gary Leroy Johnson, and her two daughters Krista and Kathy were born. After she moved to Desert Hot Springs, Janet gave birth to her son John Stephen with John Stephen Wiener Sr. In the early 2000's, she moved to the La Crescenta area and lived near all three of her children. She was a long-time employee at Orchard Supply Hardware (OSH) and made many friends while there. She helped take care of all 6 of her grandchildren when they were young, and her kids and grandkids were her pride and joy.

Janet died suddenly of natural causes in her home, with her partner Victor Cooper by her side. It brings her family comfort to know she did not die alone.

Due to the current pandemic, we won't be able to have a viewing. However, we plan to have a celebration of life on her birthday, July 2nd, with all friends and family invited.
