I will never forget the magical times we spent at the Dorrel residence with incredibly interesting peace activists and beyond.  Jane’s loving personality always made us feel welcome. Even if there were 100 people she would always make time to stop and talk (since she was usually busy in the kitchen organizing the wonderful food spreads). We knew that Jane was an amazing person supporting Frank’s great work and that they were lucky to have each other.  Since the Dorrel’s are very modest it is only now that we know more about this magical family whose cherry on the top was their beautiful little girl name Emily.  Jane—thank you for being such a lovely person ALWAYS. Thank you for welcoming us into your home with open arms. Thanks for supporting Frank and his important work. Thanks for creating magic everywhere you went. Your spirit lives on!! I will forever miss you.
I know Jane as the gracious, pleasant, loving host in her home on the hill that embraced the peace and justice community. She provided the foundation and continuous support of the mother and a wife of a great peace family. I am deeply grateful to have known her. Jane will always be an example of a generous and good soul.
My condolences to Frank, Emily and to Jane's entire family, and to the community of friends she touched. She so often made her home available graciously and unstintingly to people and to the cause of peace and justice, and for heart-warming cultural and musical expressions. I know I am one of a much larger community of people she helped create through her warmth and generosity of spirit.

Dear Emily and Big Frank,

I remember your mom/wife with great fondness in my heart. I had  the fortune of meeting her when you and Paloma crossed paths in that wonderful El Marino Language school. I enjoyed the get togethers and spending time with some of the many friends we encountered in CC. We left California many years ago but I remember her kindness, her beautiful smile and how good I felt in her  company. Please receive a huge embrace with much love and humbleness, greatly appreciative for having known her in this world.

A Patricia Del Angel
