You were a great friend. You had so many interests. Your compassion for people was always evident. I remember your stories of travel and also your early days as a food scientist at Dominos’s Pizza. You had a great sense of humor. Mostly though, I knew you loved your family deeply and Tresa was the love of your life. I’ve missed you for a long time. I hope you didn’t suffer and may you rest in peace, my friend.

Remembering the spiritually uplifting times in Sedona, AZ - when Jim & Tresa held weekly gatherings at their 'office'. Pasha and I were 'regulars' - and always took away something that made us feel safe and 'transformed'. Thank you, Jim for the warm welcomes into your 'fold'.

How lucky I am to have someone who makes it so hard to say goodbye. In my grief, my tears give testimony to the love I have for you. You left this world, but not my heart. I will honor our life together by focusing on the joys we shared.

To Jim and Tresa, I fondly remember Jim at the American Institute of Baking. Elfish grin, hooded eyes; an interest in astronomy that intrigued me to learn a little bit more about the cosmos, had some dogs too, and lived on the lake with his nice wife. He seemed so ready to joke and have fun. That "rat bar" project was certainly one of a kind making AIB the sole provider of "out of this world" baked products for the astrorats.
So long and best wishes,
Ken Embers, Director of Admissions, International Student Advisor, AIB, Manhattan, KS
