I came to know Jim through a close friend who introduced me to the Baptist Goodwill Center where we met once each week to minister to young girls from the local area. We had bible study, games and took them to the mountains once. Jim was a true inspiration to me with his knowledge and wit.
I'll share one memory about when we took the girls to the mountains. There were about 25 us and we stopped at one of the look-outs and as usual Jim had a funny up his sleeve. He started it and soon many of us were pointing up at the sky looking at nothing and cars were stopping to see what we were pointing at. We all had a good laugh thanks to Jim.

Daddy, you were not allowed to Die. It's hard to imagine life here without you in it. I hope George and you are cursing along a river with a cool breeze in your face and the waves splashing agaisnt the boat. I prayed God would give you that. Tricia

Jimmy's earliest choices set him on a course of putting God first in his life. God in turn put Jim in ministry positions that he loved and in which he impacted many. God indeed rewards those who honor Him.
Listening to Jim speak of the ways God directed and met him always encouraged me. Even if he repeated those stories, my soul still responded to those personal interventions of God. Jim's life proved that God is always present to rule, overrule, direct, deliver, and bring forth fruit.
Jim's enthusiasm for getting the gospel to people inspired many churches to work alongside him. This fostered spiritual growth in members and greatly blessed the outreach Jim was commissioned to develop. It was a true example of the body of Christ working together for Christ's goals.
In his later years, Jim longed for heaven, but at the same time, he wanted to go back and work through his years of ministry all over again. I suspect this ambivalence means that ministry represented "a bit of heaven on earth" to him.
I have no doubt that Jim Morgan has received that coveted "well done" from his Heavenly Father.
