I just learned of Jim’s passing. We were (and still are) lifelong friends. I was shocked and saddened to hear. Jim and I had lunch last summer when I was in Ottawa and we both remarked that it had been a few years since we last met but with good friends it seemed like yesterday. I will truly miss Jim!

Clarence Wood

My condolences to Jim's family.  Jim and I had the same great grandfather but I didn't find out about him until a few years ago. Since then I really enjoyed corresponding with Jim from here in Australia. It's such a shame we will never meet face to face.

My condolences to the Taylor family.  I worked with Jim in Frobisher Bay (Iqaluit) in 1978/79.  Jim was always a great guy to work with.

We are very sad to hear of Jim's passing. Our sincere condolences to his family.
sincere condolences to his family and friends, I first met Jim while he worked at Larga Baffin in Ottawa, and was surprise to find out he spoke and understood inuktitut, we became good friends while we stayed at Larga for a few months, the last time I saw him was when he was working at Tagmaartavik in Iqaluit as a manager and he jokingly made his arms into a cross at me, and we both bursted out laughing. RIP Jim
