James's obituary

On December 26, 2020 The universe gained its brightest star, James Knippenberg.
If your lips have ever said that name, it’s probably because you were telling one of the many stories there is to tell about Jim.

Jimmy had a laugh that was so infectious, if you heard it once you could always remember the sound of it. He loved to make everyone laugh, and he was damn good at it. Jimmy always had a funny song or a joke that he was working on and couldn’t wait to share. Oftentimes he would get a good belly laugh off of his own jokes and If you got him laughing hard enough, it would end with tears in his eyes and a deep sigh.
No one could have a dull moment when Jimmy was present. He was the heartbeat of the room when he walked in, and even he knew it. Making everyone laugh was his love language and a huge part of what will be his legacy.

Jim had a multitude of things he enjoyed but woodworking was his passion. He loved challenging himself to create the most unique and beautiful things. He took his time and poured as much love as he could into each of his creations. Most of what he created was never for him, but for the people he cared about. He taught himself almost everything he knew and always made sure to keep growing his skills with each new project he took on. To see the things he created was sure to take your breath away.

Jimmy was also the most loyal Browns fan and you could find him shouting at the tv every Sunday on their behalf.

Family was everything to Jimmy, and that includes all of his closest friends. You could always tell how much he cared about you individually, and how he showed it was unique to each person. Sometimes that would mean a hug that lasted a little too long, but one you would give anything for now. A nickname that only he could come up with, or a phone call that opened with him very sweetly saying your name. An offer to help with whatever project that was going on in your life and with more enthusiasm than you could imagine. Best of all, he was always encouraging and telling you what you were great at or going to be great at. He always knew and wanted the best for the ones he surrounded himself with. You never had to wonder if Jimmy cared about you, he made sure you knew it.

Jimmy was and is the most vibrant and amazing soul. Kind, funny, warm and passionate about everyone and everything that he loved. He lived a life to be proud of because he gave his all to everything he ever did. Much like his favorite animal the lion, Jim’s life was a loud roar that cannot be forgotten and we were all so lucky to have been here during a time when someone as unique and wonderful as him existed.

Jim was an amazing husband to wife Brittany Knippenberg, and a wonderful dad to dog Charlie.
He is also survived by his Mother Elizabeth Beachy (Step dad Dave Beachy) and father Eric Knippenberg. Sister Raquel Haralambou (husband Daniel Haralambou) and niece Maleigha Haralambou. Step brother Dalton Beachy (wife Lindsey Beachy) and nephews Boone and Branson Beachy. Aunt And Uncle Kim and Tim Span and Grandfather Brad Ice, three people that Jimmy shared a very special bond with. Aunt Darla Turner Medal and uncle Shaun Turner as well as grandparents Nancy and Harold Beachy and many cousins that Jimmy also considered as closest friends.
Jim is preceded in death by his grandfather Dale Edward Turner, Pop Pop James Donald Knippenberg and Two of his favorite women in the world mam-maw JoAnne Turner and Mammaw Diane Knippenberg Ice.
