James Jay Isom, 63, of Smithville, Texas, passed away on August 19, 2025, in Cuero, Texas. He was born on September 26, 1961, in Iwakuni, Japan, to James Isom, a U.S. Navy Veteran, and Wanda Ruth (Denton) Isom.

Jay is survived by his four beloved children—John, Krystal, Christian, and Marissa—along with seven grandchildren, and his brothers, John Pike and Loyd Chapman. He was welcomed into eternal peace by his parents and his brothers, Ronnie Pike …
