My condolences to Jakub's family and extensive group of friends. "Kubo" as he was well known was one of those people that just made things better no matter where he was. He could instantly light up a room with just his smile and if he hit you with one of his silly one liners oh man, it was over.I first met Jakub during an SCCA Autocross event sometime in the mid-2000's I believe. That graduated into our love for SCCA Rallycross and our friendship really just took off from there. I was in Steamboat often during his long stint of being up there as an assistant and instructor at the Bridgestone Winter Driving School so we got to hit the slopes a few times together too. Hence the photo I'm sharing here. As I said, who knew that dude could ski!? Kubo will be sorely missed by many. But his memory will live on forever in all of our hearts. We miss you Koobs!
One of our family's most beloved stories about Kubo is when he would out that his grandfather "Dedo" was also Santa Claus (Dedo Mraz) and he happily shared the news with his cousins . Here he is in action, spilling the beans.
