Jacqueline L. Lansdale of Calimesa, CA passed away peacefully at home on July 16, 2020, after a very long, brave fight against cancer, that was most recently complicated by an infection of Covid-19.
Jackie was born on January 20th, 1954 to Joseph and Juliette Butler in South Burlington, VT. She grew up in Queen City Park, on the lake with her two brothers and three sisters. Jackie married her late ex-husband John F. Shepard, and together they had two daughters, Nicole and Brandi.
In 1985, Jackie moved to southern California where she met and married her late husband Jerry L. Lansdale. Together they had one son, Andrew.
Jackie’s current partner Fletcher (Marty) Martin, was a great and loving part of her life. The two enjoyed going to karaoke, traveling, going out to restaurants, and spending each morning together drinking coffee and chatting about the day. Marty played a large role in helping take care of Jackie during the last 4 1/2 years while she was ill. He brought her support, companionship, and love.
Jackie was known to be the life of the party. She loved to laugh, have fun, and spend time with her friends. She loved animals, and will be greatly missed by her pets, Gracie, Scooter, Cassie, and Max. Her lap was never empty.
Jackie loved spending summers in Vermont with her son Andrew, and visiting her daughters and family. She loved being on the beach or out on a boat.
Jackie lived with her son, Andrew, her pride and joy, until her death. Andrew tirelessly cared for Jackie throughout her battle with cancer and most recently, during her fight against Covid-19. Jackie loved her son Andrew very much, and loved to tell everyone about his great skills as a welder and fisherman. The two had a very special bond.
Jackie was predeceased by her husband Jerry L. Lansdale, and her father and mother Joseph and Juliette Butler.
Jackie is survived by her daughter Nicole Holton of South Burlington, VT, her daughter Brandi Yeager and husband Brendan of Franklin, MA, her son Andrew Lansdale of Calimesa, CA, her granddaughter Jadyn Holton of South Burlington, VT, her step-children Nick Lansdale and Kristen Brady, her sister JoAnne Anderson and husband Craig of VT, her sister Janet Carroll and husband Jack of NY, her sister Jane Lajza and husband John of AZ, her brother Joseph Butler of NY, her brother Jim Butler and wife Sue Ellen of VT, her partner Fletcher (Marty) Martin of Calimesa, CA, and many nephews, cousins, and friends.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will not be services held at this time. So please lift Jackie in your thoughts and think of all of the great times that each of you enjoyed with her throughout the years.
