I fist met Ian in middle school, when he moved to Tewksbury. At that time, we both joined the Drama Club and talked the few times he attended the morning program. I remember playing games with him on the bus to NY in 5th grade and chatting as we walked around Times Square. I had no idea we would become so close later on in high school and even attend the same college. Ian was one of the few people I truly connected with on an emotional level and I will forever cherish the intellectual conversations we had. Ian had a remarkable talent to make everyone laugh wherever he went. He was a fantastic guitar player and I loved listening to the new 70’s inspired music he’d play for me. I’ll remember our breakfast dates together and I’ll forever remember Ian as one of my best friends. I can only hope to meet someone with as much selflessness, talent, humor, and thirst for adventure as him. Ian was genuine with the words he spoke and an extremely fascinating and unique person who was always so dedicated to his passions and caring for others. My heart goes out to all his family and friends.

Though we never got a chance to meet I always enjoyed reading posts about how you and Ian were doing. You along with Ian are and will always be part of the family. I thought I would share the photo that was part of our 2002 Mommy & Me slideshow of you and Ian. Sending you much love, peace and strength going forward. "Tammy & Peyton Ingram"
Ian was a great friend to me and an amazing person overall. I loved listening to him play the guitar when he would come to visit Ms. Harrington at the NAHS library and even more recently he would send me videos of the new songs he had learned to play on the piano. He was the kindest, funniest, most talented person. My thoughts are prayers are with Ms. Harrington and her family. ❤️
Laura, I am so sorry for your loss of Ian. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. May you find comfort in the many memories you shared❤❤❤

Ian, ‘Murica’s Next Top Model. Ian’s notoriously quick witted one-liners, phenomenal musical talents’ , and quirky sense of humor; is what we all will truly miss. I am having such a hard time coming to terms with the fact that he is physically no longer with us. The last few days I’ve been rereading our DM’s over and over. The cacophony of Star Wars references at one time seemed like meaningless late-night blurbs, are now the heartfelt poetry of our yesteryears together. I’ll miss that effervescent smile of his the most though. To Ms. H, Jeff, and Marco; my family and I send our sincerest condolences and want to share our everlasting love and support with you all.
I was only Ian's nanny for a short time, but over the years I often thought about him. I am absolutely heartbroken right now. I will always remember how he loved visiting my mom and asking her for ice cream. She never could resist that cute little face. Laura, Jeff and Marco, my condolences. Please know that he was very, very loved.

We were the dynamic duo of short and tall. I met him when I was just 15 years old and we played chess and talked for hours. The last time we were together we went for an adventure to somerville so he could retrieve his favorite water bottle he left while playing his guitar with a friend. His smile always lit up any and every room he walked into. Every conversation was filled with laughs and every time we hung out was filled with adventures. He met my dog before he got sick, came to visit me at college, and we shared many laughs in the NAHS library where his beautiful mother works. I love you Ian.
Two ‘weasels’ in Missouri send much love to the family.

Ian has been such a joy! He has always been such a caring, thoughtful young man, and a wonderful grandson. We will miss him, there are no adequate words to express our sorrow and the tremendous loss we feel. We love 💘 you Laura, Jeff and Marco!Love,Grandparents Robert A and Diana Tacey.
Ian was my student at TMHS for only one year, but I will never forget him. He was so kind, sweet and friendly. I loved talking with him and his friends even after he wasn't in my class. I remember being a part of his digital media project his junior year, and how he always smiled and said hello in the hallways (even if he could barely see who I was under that long hair of his!). He had an impact on anyone who was lucky enough to have him as part of their day to day life.
Laura, we are heartbroken 💔 for you and your sweet family. Ian was an amazing young man. Sending you so much peace, comfort and love from the desert.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of having Ian 3 years in a row at TMHS in Spanish, History of Language, and Skills. Ian is the only student to ever beat me at Harry Potter trivia. He and I would often get into discussions on everything from Lord of the Rings, to Star Wars and any other "nerdy" topic we could come up with. His HoL papers were on Elvish and Klingon :) Ian is one of the few people who truly appreciated my picture of a 1st edition LotR from my trip to London. Ian came into my room to pop in during his senior year and sent me an email after graduation just to check in and keep in touch. He was a caring and bright, young man. I enjoyed getting to know Ian very much. He will be missed greatly.
I have never met Ian but having a son that struggles with mental health issues this hits home. My condolences to all that knew an loved him, he sounds like wonderful talented young man.
