Sending my deepest condolences to Emma and family.  Dear Emma, I like to think that our husband's  have bumped into each other and are enjoying a beer and lots of laughs....pain-free.

Ian had a brilliant sense of humor that was loved by all.

Treasure those special memories, and remember to keep laughing, keep loving, keep living.

Hugs

Teresa Rowe

I wanted to share a memory. T…
2011, North Vancouver, BC, Canada
I wanted to share a memory. The photo was taken on the set of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, 2011. We were shooting 2nd unit at the C-Fast Cat building on the North Shore. It was a huge set with a life size parking garage and the camera and crane was mounted on the car paddle that moved up and down at a very dramatic speed. Everyone was strapped in and Ian is seated on the edge in the centre.  I didn't know Ian well, but i knew the people who worked with him enjoyed working with him and having him around. My condolences to you and your family. — with Rob O'Hara, Mark Cohen and Stephen Maier
Dear Emma & family, I'm saddened to hear about Ian.  I worked with Ian at Miranda HiFi in Adelaide with James Andermahr in the late 1980's.  We were young & had great fun times at work & at the pub afterwards on many occasions.  He was an intelligent, funny, passionate & quirky man. I remember him drawing a map of Vancouver on the back of a beer coaster & explaining the city to me.                                              Condolences from John Lawless.

So sad to hear of Ian’s passing. I have the fondest memories of the family’s stay at our farm in Streaky Bay some 10 years ago. What stood out most was Ian’s love of life and of his family - those beautiful hugs! Heartfelt condolences to Emma and the kids, and thanks Emma for sharing such a wonderful tribute 💕💕 which captures Ian so well.

Dear Emma,

We’re so sorry to hear Ian’s passing. We were just talking how you were when we were driving Cambie street the other day. We had no idea what you and Ian were going through. We lost 3 family members in recent years, so we understand how painful it is. I hope you’ll find a peace eventually and able to smile cherishing days spent with Ian someday.

Sending lots of love and hugs,

Colin and Yumi

I am very sorry to hear this.  I adored Ian while working on Breaker High.  He was a joy to be around.  My prayers are with the family.
So much love to all who knew and loved him! He will always be with us because kind, caring, strong souls like Ian live on forever. I will always remember his gentleness, fun loving nature and that glimmer in his eyes. He adored his family and his friends. Always in our hearts.

I worked many a show with Ian as my pickle man. We shared the same humor, had laughs and made the job a fun place.  Did great work together but made it fun.  My wife passed away in June 2024 of Glioblastoma. It took Kathy and Ian too early. My condolences to your family.

Love Gil
