On Tuesday, October 13, 2020 Howard Samuel Culbertson, loving father of four children and grandfather of three passed away at the age of 82 of COVID 19-related causes. Howard, or as everyone knew him Sam, was born on July 25, 1938 in New Castle, PA to Ellamae and Howard Culbertson. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged. He was then an engineer on the Pennsylvania railroad and an aerospace engineer for Boeing, then known as McDonnell Douglas. He married Kim Ann Reitz and had two sons, Justin and Daniel, and two daughters, Jessica and Ericka.

Sam was an avid lover of dogs, mystery novels, and softball. He often bragged about pitching and winning a game in every decade of his life. He valued his family and God above all else, being an avid churchgoer.

Sam was preceded in death by his mother, Ellamae, and father, Howard F. He is mourned by his four children, three grandchildren Caleb, Rydan, and Cameron, and his sister Jean, as well as his many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
