Hilda Pruitt Reed passed away in the early hours of June 11, 2016 in Payson, Utah after a brief illness. She was 90 years old.

A memorial service was held by the Spanish Oaks Ward, Spanish Fork Canyon View Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Spanish Fork, Utah and her cremated remains were placed next to her husband at Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana, California.
