Hilda's obituary
She was born in Appling County to the late Walter Aaron Beasley and Anna Lawrence Beasley. She retired as supervisor from King Edward Cigar Factory after 44 years of employment and was also a member of Jordan Church in Dixie Union.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, A.R. Jordan; three sisters, Faustine Jewell, Evelyn Jordan, and Billie Beasley; and a brother, James “J.L.” Beasley.
She is survived by her god-daughter, Debra Woodard of Waycross; best friend, Virue Bennett of Waycross; special caregivers, Amanda Sirmons of Blackshear and Sandra Bennett of Waycross; numerous nieces and nephews including two nephews, Dewitt Jewell and Jim Jordan; a niece, Pam McCrary; and her beloved church family at Jordan Church.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday (February 25, 2021) at Hephzibah Cemetery in Dixie Union.
