I always enjoyed playing golf with Helen as well as our many conversations.  She was a lovely lady.  I will miss seeing her.  I send my deepest sympathy to her family.

Sandra Case

On the behalf of my parents and myself, I want to offer our sincere condolences. Growing up around her at Day School, she was always kind and made me feel welcome. She raised a great family, and our thoughts are with you.

Bill, Ray, and Julie,

I was truly blessed to have Helen in my life, and although our time was short, it was filled with laughter, tears, and gratitude. Her engaging personality and sharp humor made every visit a special gift. It filled my heart to hear of the pride and joy she felt for Bill and Ray, and it brought her such peace knowing Julie was there for comfort and guidance. I'm often asked how I can do the job of a hospice nurse. It is difficult to put into words the profound, sacred, and quiet moments at the end of life as they are indescribable...but that is what Helen shared with me, and why I continue in this field.

Helen was a lovely human and will be greatly missed. Sending love and prayers for comfort from the Tharp family.

Helen, Carol McClintock, Carolyn Griffin and I were an annual foursome at the Deaconess Classic.  We will miss our partner on and off the golf course.  Rest in peace my dear friend.

Julie and Family,

We are so very sorry to hear of Helen’s passing…you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Sending love and hugs to you.

To Helen's Dear Family:

I am  sad to learn of Helen's passing.  I looked up to her during our years swimming at Rolling Hills Country Club.  We cheered our children on during summers at Oak Meadow Country Club.  She took me in during my brief return to Evansville in our later years.  She was always a force of strength, and always looking on the bright side.  I know she is missed. Helen was our precious friend & Trivia team member at ECC.  We commented, when she couldn’t be with us, “Helen would have known that!”  I took food to her during the big snow storm last month & visited her in the hospital.  Her journey was very challenging and she did it with grace!  Helen, you are missed my friend.💖 Ann Almquist

Dear Bill and Ray,

I saw you mom in early December at a restaurant and we had a nice talk. She was an inspiration to me at Day School where she was a great support.

I loved her smile. She always had time to talk.

God bless your family.

My prayers are with Ray, Bill, and family. Memories at the Christian’s and in Mrs. Christian’s minivan are among the highlights of my childhood. Ray was a great friend, and Mrs. Christian had a unique capacity to make me—a fairly anxious kid—and assuredly countless others feel at home.
