Dear Avra and family,
Pat's and my heart are with you today. Both of us had met Harvey, Pat through BCHD gym and I through Avra's acting and storytelling.
We knew how much he was loved and will be remembered,

When I was 13, my parents (Alan, Harvey's brother, Carolyn, Harvey's sister in law) let me fly to California to spend Spring Break with Carl, then onto Catalina Island with Harvey, Avra, Jeremy, Julie and Lynn. This would have been 1985. Harvey's enthusiasm and love for his family comes through loud and clear in this photo. You will be missed Uncle Harvey!!!

Uncle Harvey was so kind, warm & open. He and Avra always welcomed me and my family when we came to CA and I have memories of him coming to visit us as kids in MN and he always brought the latest and greatest Barbie! As my sister said, the amount of fruit we would buy in prep for Harvey to come was amazing! :) I am so glad to have spent time with him over the past few years while visiting and staying with my cousin Julie. He will be missed and a great loss to our family. A few pictures of the brothers!
TRIBUTE TO HARVEY

We were first introduced to Harvey when my sister, Avra, brought him to our home for Thanksgiving Weekend, in Saratoga (a suburb of San Jose,CA), I knew it could be serious if she was introducing Harvey to her family. Of course we liked Harvey immediately. Who wouldn't. He fit in perfectly. We were all comfortable with each other. We hoped he would be the one, and of course he was, and such a wonderful decision it turned out to be. Harvey was such a great husband to Avra, and father to Adam, Jeremy, Lynn & Julie.

Harvey was kind, sweet, patient, always helpful, thoughtful and very positive about everything. He had a calming affect on people. He welcomed everyone to his home, was a great host and always made everyone feel comfortable.

We always loved visiting Harvey & Avra, usually between Christmas & New Years. As soon as the door opened Harvey greeted us with that wonderful welcoming smile and open arms, so happy to see us. We always had such good times all 4 of us, laughing and just sharing family stories. Harvey was always planning something special to do during our visits. There was always some new event in LA or at the Beach, Art Museums, Theatre, and oh so many movies to catch up with; and of course, lots & lots of great restaurants to go to. NEVER A DULL MOMENT.

Since it was during the holidays, of course there was after Christmas shopping for bargains. We always looked for clothes, wrapping paper & cards for the following year. We all went in different directions to our respective departments then would meet up later on. If I couldn't find my size in something I wanted & was ready to give up looking, Harvey would help me look and sure enough he would find exactly what I wanted. He loved to help and I usually wound up with something to take back home. He was a great shopper and of course there is that world of patience he had.

I will forever be grateful to Avra & Harvey & later on my brother Art for helping to take care of my mother Laura (as I lived 500 miles away). Avra did most of the shopping for mom, but she was working at that time and if she couldn't do something - then Harvey pitched in and did it for her. Harvey would go and buy more than a just a few dresses to take home to mom so she could decide which ones she would keep, & Harvey would return the other dresses. Mom wasn't an easy customer, but Harvey, with his patience, did the job lovingly for mom and for Avra.

Harvey was very proud of all of his children and grand children, and loved Avra very much. They both made a great decision 37 years ago to join in marriage and bring both of their families together. The road to happiness is not always easy, but Avra & Harvey did a fantastic job.

We all loved Harvey, and I know he loved us back. His passing is a huge loss to our family, and we will miss him terribly. I take comfort that he is no longer in pain and not suffering. Harvey made a lasting, positive impression on everyone he met. My family will always hold his memory tucked away in their hearts, and he will never be forgotten. Love you brother, Linda & Fred
RIP Uncle Harvey.

I remember Harvey coming to visit MN when I was a child and my parents stocking up on so much fruit for his visit. I recall watching in awe as Harvey would eat half a cantaloupe for breakfast. There was always that healthy-Californian mystique to him I was very fond of. He also almost always had on a short-sleeved, button up shirt (known as the "Harvey shirt") and as a kid I remember thinking it must be warm somewhere other than Minnesota! Now in Phoenix, I look for "Harvey shirts" to buy my husband!

Sending love to all.

TRIBUTE TO HARVEY

I FIRST MET HARVEY WHEN MY SISTER-IN-LAW - AVRA INVITED ME TO JOIN THEM AT DINNER WHEN I WAS ON A BUSINESS TRIP TO L.A.
WE MET AT A LITTLE FRENCH PLACE IN THE VALLEY. LYNN WAS THERE ALSO.
HARVEY'S CAR HAD A LICENSE PLATE THAT SAID "E Z HARV", AND THAT WAS THE TRUTH!!
WE ALL KNOW HOW HE WAS EASY TO GET ALONG WITH AND HAPPY TO BE WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
I ESPECIALLY APPRECIATE HIS BEING A GREAT FATHER TO MY NEPHEWS ADAM & JEREMY AND A FANTASTIC HUSBAND TO AVRA. HE WAS A GREAT SON-IN-LAW TO MY MOM - LAURA .
HARVEY WAS MY BROTHER. I AM DEEPLY AFFECTED AND SADDENED NOT TO HAVE HIM IN MY LIFE ANY LONGER. I LOVE HIM AND WILL MISS HIM FOREVER.

Sandy and I (Debbie) are so sad to hear about cousin Harvey’s passing. It was a kind caring person that will always be remembered fondly. Sending a virtual hug to all his loved ones.
