Uncle Harry
Sailed away on winds so wide,
A life well-lived, with love as guide.
A Navy man, strong and true,
With stories, laughter, and a world to view.
From records spun to roads well-known,
In every turn, his wisdom shown.
The city’s streets were his domain,
With shortcuts, secrets, and no refrain.
His heart, a home for feline friends,
A quiet kindness that never ends.
And to the elderly, he gave his grace,
A tender touch, a gentle face.
A brother, uncle, friend so dear,
Whose humor wiped away all fear.
With one-liners, jokes, and a heart so bright,
He filled our lives with warmth and light.
Though now he rests, his spirit flies,
Among the stars in open skies.
We’ll miss the stories, the jokes, the cheer,
But in our hearts, he’s always near.
A legacy of love, a life well-spent,
Harry’s memory, forever present.
And though we weep, we also smile,
For Harry’s laugh will linger awhile.
