Guido was the type of person anyone would be lucky to meet. he loved his friends and family deeply. he was kind, caring, and gave the best bear hugs. guido loved music, when we still lived in woodbridge, we would drive around together listening to led zeppelin and pink floyd. everytime i hear “shine on you crazy diamond” i think of you and how you showed me that song after we raced in parking lot seeing who could run to the car fastest. He took me to see Rex Orange County for my birthday and we would sing “Corduroy Dreams” until we convinced ourselves we sang it better.
Guido also loved to eat, he is the only person i know who is truly passionate about country fried steaks, specifically from cracker barrel. he hated when there was lettuce and tomato on his burgers and he could down an entree from ihop in under 10 minutes and still ask if he could eat my hash browns.
Guido was also a great listener, and would be willing to talk on the phone no matter how late, waiting to hang up until i fell asleep because my new apartment scared me.
Guido never ended a phone call without saying “i love you”. I miss your sarcastic jokes, watching marvel movies together. I miss hearing you play the first 30 seconds of “over the hills and far away” over and over again asking if it sounds better this time. I miss quoting star wars back and fourth and having pretend light saber fights in your perpetually messy bedroom. I never thought i’d ever have to say goodbye forever. The last time I heard your voice was friday afternoon, you called me back but i was busy, so i said i love you and that i’d call you back. When I got the call on Sunday, I was in complete disbelief and shock, and still now am having a hard time processing the loss of Guido.
I miss you, and I love you Guido.

Guido was a friend like no other. The way things picked up right where they left off every time was comforting and so enjoyable. Guido is someone everyone looked forward to seeing and I can’t believe I’m not going to hear someone say “I’m so happy guido is coming, I love him”. I have so many distinct memories with him and I can’t believe I won’t be making anymore. I know if he could see us now he would tell us to stop crying and start laughing. Laughing with him is what I’ll remember. Love you man.
