Gregory's obituary

Vidalia,

Mr. Gregory Thompson Tippett, age 64, of Vidalia, died Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness. He was a lifelong resident of Vidalia, an honor graduate from Lyons Senior High School, and earned a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina.  He worked for Thompson Hardwood for twenty years and was also self employed, working as a Certified Public Accountant from home. He was a devoted father to his daughter and was preceded in death by his father, George P. Tippett.

Mr. Tippett is survived by his daughter, Georganna Tippett; his mother, Abbie Jo Thompson Tippett both of Vidalia; four siblings, Neal Tippett of Vidalia, Tommy Tippett of Richmond Hill, Susan Giles and husband Dan of Rincon, and Mike Tippett and wife Pat of Baxley; several nieces and nephews; and his dedicated caregiver, Nancy Walters of Vidalia.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 2nd at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Chancey and Reverend Brian Patrick officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 11:00 until just prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Community Hospice House Foundation at P.O. Box 2277, Vidalia, GA, 30475.
