Greg was a such a bright light always shining to everyone around him. I feel so blessed to have gotten the chance to play music with him, go to my first concerts, on field trips, have him as a basketball coach, connect as a friend, and father figure. I learned so much from his gentle, loving, caring lighthearted spirit always laughing and sharing joy I will always remember and continue to embody these lessons as best I can. His encouragement, support, and passion for music had a significant impact on me. Kerry and Greg always provided me a safe place where I felt I could truly be myself, felt valued and helped raise me into the man I am today. I'm so thankful for our times together, and the example they set for how to be a close knit strong family unit and involved community members. When I think about all the amazing qualities I appreciate about Garrett, I can see so much of both Kerry and Greg in him. May he be at peace as he transitions from physical body into the next step of his spiritual journey. ✨❤🎵🌌🌄

I first met Kerry and Greg over 20 years ago on one of my first visits to "the mountain". While I loved the wild beauty and amazing landscape, it was the sense of community that convinced us to move up here. Along with our friend Charlie, Kerry and Greg were the driving forces in the tight knit community of folks, living remotely and very reliant on each other back then. Knowing Greg over these twenty years was always a joy. He was a calm and thoughtful neighbor who was always ready to lend a hand. I loved his quiet sense of humor and his fun loving nature and the I'll never forget the many potlucks and parties that Greg and Kerry hosted over the years, they were the glue that held us all together in a strong sense of community and made us new comers feel so welcomed. Kerry joined me and a small group of friends on a trip to Bhutan a number of years ago and they have a beautiful tradition of lighting butter lamps when a loved one passes to light their way forward and we are organizing this for Greg in a temple in Bhutan. I'll post some photos when I get them back and I wish Greg much light on his journey and Kerry much strength.

I met Kerry and Greg on my first trip up to the mountain in 1999 at a big neighborhood party.
They have always been at the heart of the community up here; hosting pot lucks, arranging road and fire safety meetings, and always eager to lend a hand to a neighbor in need.
For the past 22 years, they have been my role models of how to be a good neighbor and how to live a good life in the country.
Greg passed away unexpectedly this week. He was such a great friend to so many of us, and we will miss him dearly.
This photo of Kerry and Greg taken recently with their first grandchild is how I'll remember him. Smiling, full of love and always putting family and friends first.
Rest in peace, Greg.
