I moved to Utah in 2014 and shortly after started working at Huntsman in IT. At some point in the first year there I had received a trouble ticket for Dr. Bowen. I went to his office to meet with him and help him with a computer issue. He had a small KTM dirt bike model on his desk which led to us talking about dirt bikes and riding. The rest is history. We connected and went riding together on the Stansbury front trail with his son Scott. He drove, bought me breakfast, and lunch. We all had such a good ride. It was my introduction to such a giving generous person who knew so, so much about Utah's off the beaten track areas. Glen, Scott, and I continued to try to ride whenever Glen could steal away. Two of my happiest memories are riding with him and his brother Mark at the Bryce area, and in Idaho at Silver City with his brother Mark as our guide. I will miss Glen so much, as I had expected to have many more rides with him and learn more about Utah's geology and history. Glen was also just so interesting to talk to in that we could discuss, theology, politics, science, etc. without any kind of conflict. It was always just such an open intelligent discussion....

When I moved from Bountiful to Morgan in 2016 Glen offered to help with the move. He not only let me borrow his giant sprinter van to load things into, but also showed up at my house with his pickup truck and Scott to help. I was so humbled by this and ever grateful to this day for that!

And having worked at Huntsman, I know that Glen was a dedicated professional trying so hard to combat skin cancer. I remember him trying to get a patient to come in despite the fact that the individual didn't have the right coverage, and Glen trying to work on making things right for the patient coverage wise. Truly a giving and thoughtless man.

I'll miss him so much. God bless his family.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Bowen. He was such a great person to be around and work with. He had such a teachers heart and I will forever remember working with him at our MOHS Clinic at Dr. Amy Curtis's office in Centerville. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time. RIP Dr. Glen Bowen. You will truly be missed.

Sincerely,
Kim Wedow

I first met Glen at “The Pointe” at huntsman. He was so energetic and happy. I was new to Utah so glen brought me a gift of a toy UU football helmet. I still have that helmet in my office to this day. Over the years Glen made a lot of holes in people’s faces. I patched up a lot of those holes. We were a really great team. We took on some tough cases. Glen was also my dermatologist and I was always so proud to be his patient. His corny jokes and the gentle way he could inject me before taking a slice of me (humor intended).
He was my son’s doc too. Just such a great guy, physician, academician, and person. The world is now minus one great person. May he Rest In Peace and my most sincere thoughts and condolences to his family.
