Celebrating Gilbert’s father’s birthday in Mexico with family. These are his sisters and brother in the photo with Gilbert and his dad
Gilbert was my son n law. I loved him very much. He was a loving husband to my daughter her best friend, a wonderful father to Chris and Raquel. I remember when the kids were born he would get up in the night when they cried letting Tracy sleep. He was always so thoughtful putting others first
When he first got sick he just kept going. Always doing what ever was needed so Tracy could concentrate on law school. He would get the kids ready to take to Rosa's then go to treatment never complaining no matter how sick he felt. I always told Gilbert he was my hero. When h is cancer came back it did not look hopeful. Gilbert never gave up. Doing what ever treatment and fighting all the way. He was the strongest person I know. He loved Tracy, Raquel and Chris much. He wanted to share every moment he could. His family and their well.being was the m oi st important thing to him. I would love the calls would get from Gilbert just to check on me to see if I was doing ok. Gilbert was a loving g husband. Amazing father, supportive brother, loyal friend and a person with high morals with a since if right and wrong. He was always making sure that his family was safe. I loved my relationship with Gilbert. I williui as his sense of humor. He would tease me and a loo ways make me laugh. He is missed dearly. I love you Gilbert. Thank you for everything you did to make a difference in people's lives. I could not think of a better person for my daughter to be married to. You and Tracy made a beautiful family. You fought hard and now you are with God
I love you and miss you.
Debbie
Because you were the love of your family’s life and the Tracy was the light of yours and you both fought hard, You were her Braveheart Gilbert. I always saw the sparkle in her eyes when she spoke of you, always sharing how much you meant to her and the kids. Never giving up. You gave all as she did. I was so honored to be at Raquel’s Celebration to see you so proud. Thank you Gilbert for making the time to be my friend. I’ll alway be there for them. Rest in The Lord Glory.

Gilbert hiked 2.5 miles along the south rim! He was undoubtedly in a lot of pain but wanted to live each moment to the fullest.

Gilbert always commented about how happy the kids looked while vacationing in Hawaii. It made him smile to see their smiles.
The last time I spent with Gilbert was last year and brought three bottles of Petrone tequila and had a great time that weekend! We laughed we sang and Cousin Tracy and I danced in the kitchen 🎶 I think Gilbert thought we were crazy but he was laughing and having a great time !!!!! great memory 🤗🥰
