Gil's obituary

Gil Woo Lee, 72, died September 19, 2019, with his family by his side in Evanston, Illinois.  He was born on March 23, 1947, in Daegu, South Korea to Jong-Man Lee and Soon-Ja Yi.  Ever since he was a young boy, he was always a hard worker, intelligent student, and a kind person. He graduated college from Joong-Ang University in 1971 and then moved to the United States in 1975.  He worked for successful companies like the Chicago Board of Trade and Walgreens Company as an IT Systems Engineer while also receiving his Masters in Business Administration in 1992.  

His interests included golfing, listening to music, and following politics.  He devoted much of his time and energy to be a dutiful son, faithful husband, and caring father.  Gil Woo Lee is survived by his wife, Gyung Myung Lee, two daughters: Mina Hamburg and Linda Kim, two son-in-laws: Michael Hamburg and Johnny Kim, and three grandchildren: Avi Hamburg, Sy Hamburg, and Abigail Kim.
