GiGi O’Higgins was born Gerryne Maher on August 30, 1948 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She despised her given name and the cold, but had shed both from her life (mostly) when she died suddenly on Dec. 6, 2022 in Rancho Santa Margarita, California.

GiGi spent her early years taking care of her three younger siblings and lamenting her red hair. She spoke often of her "undesirable" features as a youth, but there was never a soul …
