Happy birthday, sweetheart.  Thinking about ya.  Miss you. Grateful for the times you've stopped by.

Not sure about birthdays, but some presents I used to get Gerard, were:  Doggy flea collars! Gun cleaning fluid, paint by number (doggies usually) pictures, model airplanes, cars, and rockets, (I think all 3) when we were little. As we got older, Starbucks gift cards, lots of cards. Last year, I sent him some toys and treats from Chewy.com for Miley and he texted me, "M! Little Miss Miley says thanks for the treats and new toys," (2 smiley faces). When Andrea gave me some stuff from his house, it included every card I'd sent him in the past 15, 20 yrs., carefully saved in a sealed baggie perfect condition. So sweet and sentimental! He always mailed me Birthday cards early, every year!

I'm so sorry to learn about his passing. He was always good hearted and a person you could count on to help resolve the difficult issues we had at work. I always liked having him on my teams.

Celebrating the 4th., and France’s victory over Germany in the European Championship, soccer match — with Gerard Muffly
So sorry to hear about Gerard’s passing.  Always looked forward to having a beer on Fridays on the ferry boat going home. Then Covid hit and didn’t see him again. We used talk about mountaineering and backpacking. Gerard is the reason why I’ve hike a few sections of the PCT in Washington state. The only reason I found his obituary was looking to get his phone number to get some tips on hiking the JMT. Gerard was  fountain of energy and inspiration that had an effect on everyone he met.  He is missed very much.
