George Lee Rose, Jr. passed away on Thursday, January 19. He was 81. Born to Nellie and George Lee Rose, Sr., on January 1, 1942, he was a native son of Glynn County. George attended Glynn Academy and was a standout athlete in many sports, but football was his game, and he went on to play football at Auburn University and in the NFL.
