Gene went to be with his Lord and savior after a long fought battle with liver cancer ended on June 27th 2019. Gene is survived by a loving wife Nancy (Nelson) whom he married October 3rd 2009. Also Gene is survived by one son and daughter-in-law Brian and Ciara Smith of Troy Ohio. Two children who he was a loving step father to, Ian and Elizabeth Nelson both of West Carrollton.
