Gene went to be with his Lord and savior after a long fought battle with liver cancer ended on June 27th 2019. Gene is survived by a loving wife Nancy (Nelson) whom he married October 3rd 2009. Also Gene is survived by one son and daughter-in-law Brian and Ciara Smith of Troy Ohio. Two children who he was a loving step father to, Ian and Elizabeth Nelson both of West Carrollton. Gene was a avid fan of the NFL and his beloved Cleveland Browns. He will be deeply missed by many. Services will be held with close friends and family in Indiana. We ask for privacy for his immediate family in this very difficult time for all
