With Liz and Gav’s friends, from Vila Madalena. Always a lot of fun, good conversation, and an energy that made it seems that we were friends from a long time. RIP 🙏🏼
I fell honoured to have had the privilegie of spending some time with Gav.

2011, Insalata - Alameda Campinas - Jardim Paulista, São Paulo - SP, Brasil
I think we had just returned from the coast of SP (Guaruja) and went to a late dinner at Insalata.
I first met Gav when we worked together at MBF/Bupa and I remember when Liz asked me what I thought of him, my reply was “gawwwd, that loud Irish guy??!” Little did I know that the loud Irish guy would become a most treasured partner to Liz, a most treasured dad to Livvie and Elliott, a most treasured human, a most treasured friend. Gav was always in my corner, one of my biggest cheerleaders. I will never forget the times we spent in Australia and Bali, and he always made sure Liz and I could hang out or go away together. We shared a love of nice champagne and a good cocktail (not sure about the Caesar tho). He made a killer scrambled eggs for a hangover. I will forever cherish the times we spent sipping cocktails overlooking the rice paddies or the ocean. I cant make any sense of this. I don’t think I ever will. Thank you Gav for your friendship, your generosity, for the big hearty laughs but most of all your kindness. Big love G man xx

Hi , I am Hepi, this month is right 3 years I work for them, this photo they sent to me christmas last year. they look so happy with this little gift, never imagined it will be my last gift for Bapak Gav. He was very kind, even too kind, he never treated me as a maid, but more than that. I feel so lucky to be a part of them, a part of this very happy little family. Bapak Gav always fried the bacon every Saturday morning for the kids. Olivia and Elliott looked so happy, laughing, screaming, joking and doing silly things with their dad. He is a very great father, a very loving husband, last day I met him, he only said " stay safe until at home Hepi, he not say "see you tomorrow" as ussually he always say to me before I go home 💔 may God give him the most beautiful place in heaven there, see you Bapak, when I see you again, sending lots of love and prayers💗🕊️

Night cap after another wonderful night in Melbourne. Will miss you my friend. — with Ray Mak

Dear Liz, I was deeply saddened to hear of Gav’s sudden passing. I hadn’t seen him since Ricky & Nicole’s wedding but he was still full of energy and fun. We knew each other as kids as our Mums were friends and the we’d bump into each other around Dublin or more on flying trips to meet the gang in Sydney. So sorry for your, Olivia and Elliot loss. RIP

Nelly, Tara & Max

Dear Liz,

Our thoughts are with you, Olivia and Elliott.  I’m sure we share the feelings of Gav’s many friends, we are beyond sad.  Gav was the loveliest of men and we’ll never forget the good times we had with you both.

Love

Gav was a truly fantastic guy. Fun, funny and a kind, genuine friend, he always had great stories to tell. He lived life to the full and enjoyed every minute. Gav was also a great listener. Many times I shared work problems with him and he always had time to listen and gave me great advice. He really cared and gave me confidence that I could solve any problem.  Gav was a hands-on, loving dad. He was great with our kids too. We had many a fun day at Easts or at each other's houses. Always with a lot of wine and sore heads the next day. I still can't believe he is gone. I am heartbroken. Sending much love to Liz and the kids.
