I will always remember the conversations I had with Mr. Gary about his military service in Germany, his start in broadcasting, and his love of music (1920s to 1940s). On occasion we would share a pizza. Each week, I would jokingly say he should consider changing the WYAR format to include Hip Hop or Rock. His response was always a strong No. Mr. Gary was such a cool guy! I am happy to have known him. My deepest sympathy goes to his family. He will be sorely missed.

Soldiers who stand guard duty know that the words, "All is well," are the best news to hear...they are also in "TAPS", a farewell to Military Personnel....."Day is done...gone the sun. From the hills, from the fields, from the sky. All is well---safely rest. God is nigh." Safely rest, Soldier....safely rest.
