My deepest condolences go to Fran's family and friends.
I first met Fran through Fem and we then became friends. Fran was very determined…so determined she ran a marathon injured! She embraced life and its opportunities, faced the difficulties with a smile. An amazing woman all round.
With the sadness of her passing, I also feel honoured to have known her a little.

To my amazing friend Fran , I am so privileged to have had you in my life …. Little did I know when I was told they had hired another Irish girl ( quickly to discover German but more of an Irish accent than I had ) in that doctors office in Melbourne all those years ago that we would continue our journey together for the next 20 years. You were a ray of sunshine and touched all our hearts and will continue to do so. Words can’t describe how much I will miss you but you will be forever in my heart . To my beautiful Franziska..... the most kind hearted, funny, loving girl I ever had the pleasure of knowing. I was so glad you came into our lives all those years ago and became our sister. To all our fun nights out to our adventures on holidays (who thought it was a good idea to climb Table Mountain in 30 degree heat!!! ). You have left this world with the purest of heart and I know you will be looking down on your beautiful son and husband, all your family and friends. Fran was one of the most thoughtful, kind and attentive people I know. Little cards, remembering birthdays, baking cookies for special occasions.. She knew how to make others feel special and loved. And always with her beautiful bright contagious smile, boundless energy and the charm of a tiny bit of an Irish accent. Or sometimes a lot ;). I am so grateful to have had her in my life as a dear friend and so heartbroken about the enormous empty space she will leave behind. Fran, you will be in my heart forever, but so very dearly missed.
