Mr. Frank Wright, age 82, of Lyons, died Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Pleasantview Nursing Home in Metter after an extended illness. He was a native of Toombs County, and lived near Lyons all of his life. He was a 1959 graduate of Lyons High School where he played football, baseball, and ran track. He was a longtime member of Hammonds Baptist Church and was a former Sunday school teacher. He worked as construction superintendent for Coite Sumner Construction and McDonald Construction for many years. He enjoyed reading, fishing, hunting, NASCAR and playing softball. Preceding him in death were his parents, Teddy Quitman Wright and Farrie Ann Garrett Wright; and a brother, Pete Wright.

His family includes one brother, Howard Wright and wife Vivian of Lyons, one sister, Elaine Wright Mauldin and husband David of Scottsdale, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be Thursday afternoon, August 17th, at 1:00 at Lakeview Memorial Gardens with Pastor Daniel Caraway officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hammonds Baptist Church, 650 Hammonds Church Road, Lyons, GA 30436.
