Frank and i were real close back when in my Army days(his Air Force) we both lived in Manitou Springs Colorado (1970/1971 ) in 1973 he drove from Brooklynn to North Kingston Rhode Island and took me bk to his home in Brooklynn (4th of July) my first time in New York Frank shiwed me the “town”.. later i caught bk up with him in Manitou Springs after i hitchhiked up to and bk down from Fairbanks Alaska .. Frank was “Always” there for me and anyone else.. this morning laying here thinking of my colorful past i got to thinking of my ol buddy Frank sadly i  come to find out hr has “gone”… i shall  always remember this good man my friend Frank Smagala with a”Tear.  .. and ..a..Smile”… one day i look forward to meeting his family.  Phil Rodgers
