My deepest sympathy goes out to all who knew Adnan. I've had the pleasure of knowing and collaborating with him for some 15 years now, I'm not sure I could even count the number of times he'd call and start the conversation with work (drought, etc) only to migrate over to his most recent camping or hiking adventure. His enthusiasm for all things climate, the outdoors, and life in general will be missed by all of us at the National Weather Service.

Enjoyed every one of his presentations. He always had the group wrapped around his finger, hanging on every word, and funny he would always insert in his presentation. I remember he would have dancing power lines whenever talking about the wind in ND. So humbled to have been able to spend time with him. Cherish every moment.
