Everett's obituary
Ev was born on April 20, 1940, to Tharon and Earnest Canfield in Upton, Wyoming. He had a twin brother that died a short time after his birth.
Ev is survived by his wife, Maria Canfield, of twenty-seven years. He is also survived by two children, Kelly Canfield and Jim Canfield and his beloved stepson, Anthony Kelso, as well as 6 grandchildren.
Ev is also survived by his sister-in-law, Emily Courtney, and brother-in-law, Ed Courtney, and niece, Adriane Wass, and fiancé, Todd Denman, who live in the Austin area.
He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Tanya Green, and brother-in-law, Jim Green, and their children and grandchildren who live in the Kansas City area.
Ev was predeceased in death by his parents, and his daughter, Jennifer.
Ev was an Army veteran. He served from January, 1960, and was honorably discharged in March, 1966.
Ev started his career in banking and later went to work for H&R Block shortly after the company established its headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri. He rose up through the company to become Vice President of Eastern Operations. He retired after 35 years of service.
Ev and Maria enjoyed traveling and taking numerous cruises over the years. Ev also enjoyed being very active in their community in Sun City in Georgetown, Texas. He served on many committees and volunteer positions. His favorite activity was as a member of ACT TAG, a Sun City theater group. He performed in many plays and directed a few.
His wishes were to be cremated. Since his close friends and family are located across the country, he will forgo a memorial service.
