I am so sorry to learn that Everett has passed away.  I am a second cousin of his and had lost contact awhile ago.  My mother Dorothy is his mother's, Tharon's , neice.  They were very close in age and I saw a lot of Tharon while growing up.  My Dad Robert, Bob, Hugi started the Block offices in Minneapolis and I think he was instrumental in getting Everett into Block.  I was looking for Everett to let him know that I have 2 histories of the Sim family that I thought he might be interested in seeing.  One his mother wrote, the other his Aunt Laurel wrote.  I found the obituary in my search, I had no idea that he had passed away.  Please accept my very late condolences.  Should you have any interest in the histories please feel free to contact me.
That's my grandma Ev. He was a really great guy. We didn't see him that much because we lived all over the country because dad was a carreer navy man . but when we did he had a very warm presence that made me feel very comfortable. Rest in peace grandpa Ev. And thanks for the genes

Ev played an important role in my life growing up, and this was reflected in his role in my wedding. He read a letter that was written by my twin brother who was unable to attend, and we were honored to have him involved in the ceremony. This photo is from that evening and beautifully captures his fun-loving spirit. You will be missed Ev - you taught us how to live life with integrity and love.
