Estrella de Castro Bona, 75 years of age, passed on May 25th at Legacy Post Acute Facility in San Bernardino, CA. As a devout member of the Summit Lighthouse congregation, Estrella has always prayed for the sick especially those whom she knew and those who are associated with her loved ones. Estrella has always been a firm believer of the earth’s natural powers embodied in crystals and gemstones like Amethyst and uses them for healing. Her sword was her belief in the goddess Shiva, the destroyer as she helps in keeping the world from harm’s way, while Krishna provided her comfort and peace. Her beliefs and religious journey gave her the strength, guidance and will power and that even in her last breath, she showed benevolence. Also, Estrella, just like every woman, loved shopping for hand bags, make-up and jewelries. She was quite the fashionista as she held on to the trends of the 60s and 70s and according to her, everything comes back in fashion. When she’s not praying, she would spend her time watching her magical and supernatural TV shows such as “Charmed.” The Asian cuisine was always her favorite that she would want every birthday celebration to be at a Thai or Korean BBQ restaurant. As the oldest sister of 5 children, Estrella shared most everything to siblings Marites (Jess) Oscar, Rudy and her late sister, Marilyn, including her passion for karaoke singing, especially her favorite song, Power of Love. Estrella leaves behind her husband Francisco, sons Eric and Manny (Juli and her granddaughter Sofia), and her daughter Donabel Bona-Hueber (Shawn Hueber)
