"Live on all things are the same
For my sake and in my name
Never be afraid to die
Cause I'll be waiting in the sky"
From Trouble - Another Day
I will miss you my friend. So many years. Many memories, many shows. Until we meet again, Another Day. 🤘

2017, Brauerhouse, Lombard
I got to know Eric through number of interviews I did with him: Trouble, Blackfinger, The Skull. This last time it wasn't an interview situation. We were just hanging out before The Skull took the stage, talking music, cracking jokes, just fun times. You will be greatly missed Eric.

2018, Malta Doom Metal Festival
Eric was and will forever remain a legend in the Doom Metal scene. I have passed countless hours listening to Trouble's music and more recently The Skull. It is impossible to define the impact both bands has had on my life.
We had the pleasure to host The Skull in our festival in Malta in 2018. We talked on that occassion and kept in contact throughout these years back until a few days ago as he wanted to use some photos from his show in Malta for his upcoming solo album.
Rest in peace brother....you will not be forgotten. Condolences to all family and friends 💔🥀

Terrible way to wake up Monday morning in Vegas with the news of Eric's passing. I listened to Trouble for 12 hours straight in the car driving home and brought me to tears a few times. I was even talking to Kyle Thomas on Friday night about Eric and he was soooo broken up about his situation. I became a fan of Trouble in the late 90s but never got to see him with Trouble live however, The Skull came to Denver in 2018 and it was a fantastic show. I got there super early and we chatted over food for a few hours. He signed all my vinyl copies and told some super interesting stories about each one. Being that I am from N. Illinois, I feel like I have lost one of my local favorites, you know, a band that you may say "hometown heroes" or "best band from (wherever)". IMO, he was one of the most iconic voices in metal, mixing a sort of John Lennon with a sinister and dark rasp that was one of a kind. RIP

My condolences to everyone who knew Eric, or who knew his music. I had never met him personally, but, by all accounts, he was a legendary person, as well as a legendary musician. RIP

RIP Eric Wagner - what a lovely chap and of course doom legend...very very sad news. When Trouble took us out on tour they really looked after us and Eric was a star without any ego; he gave me some great singing tips I've used ever since.
Dueting with Eric in Hamburg on my fav Trouble song 'Memory's Garden' still gives me goosebumps now.
Thankyou Eric and goodbye for now.

We will all miss you so much! I've never met someone with an ego, yet humble at the same time. A great story teller with an infectious laugh. You had a unique perspective on your life... and how everyone should be content with their own lives. You could definitely make an entrance, and now sadly your exit. Much love always. Kathy & Darin 🙏❤️

I bought my first Trouble cassette in 1990 and was immediately captivated by the music and the presence and voice of Eric. Since then I bought all the music that Eric and co produced and his wonderful voice and lyrics became the background music to so many of my life moments. He had this unbelievable ability to write and sing in an open and vulnerable way very few people can match. I am truly, truly sad he is no longer with us. I hope he found his way to the light.
