Dear Earl,
May the Lord confort you and your family during this time. Your mom was very special, and I do recall her being welcoming when I would come over back when we were kids. I also remember the ski trip that we went on with the church. Little did I know that those seeds being planted would one day lead me to Christ.
May the memories and your mom’s legacy continue to inspire you to live a life with purpose.
With love,
Oriana

As a teaching artist, and a volunteer at RIDA senior center where I got to meet her for several months, she was always so lovely, calm, and had a friendly family. Diligent in her artwork, where she would often focus on collaging memorabilia of her beloved kids. B”DE

Dear Family of Emily Carr,I am very sorry to learn of Emily Carr's passing. Please accept my sincere condolences.
I knew Emily as the leader of the Art Workshop at the Roosevelt Island Older Adult Center. Emily was a devoted member of the workshop for many years. She really enjoyed working on paintings, and joining in with participants in the group. Her bright, positive spirit enlivened the workshop for me and the other artists who she always encouraged in their creative work.
I will miss Emily, and I know that her friends in the Art Workshop will miss her too.
Regards,John Mendelsohn

I’m heartbroken to hear this news. She was like a second mom to us and I have so many fond memories of time we spend together when I was young. She took us on adventures (including a fun and memorable day in Coney Island) and always sent up a bowl of homemade congee when we were sick. She was a women of hidden talents including artistic skill that wowed us all.
All of my love and condolences to the family on the loss of this great lady.

I am so sorry for your loss, Earl. Although I only had the honor to meet her once, back in 2001 in NYC, I remember her genuine warmth and kindness towards those of us who met her that day. May she rest in peace.
