Emerson was small but a mighty flyer, he made a plane for Ada out of popsicles from our ice cream breaks.
He was a co-worker assisting god in collecting lost souls that had no family, no food, no resources.
Some people give money, he gave money and time, his clothes, a place to bathe, and then he would walk them to soup kitchens, pantries, shower buses and to resources in the community before he let them go. When I asked him why, he told me he was homeless and
He never forgot the kindness offered so he wanted people to find family like the ones he found at SFIC, Red Cross, VFW, Wa Sung, Boy Scouts, CYC, NICOS, SFNERT, YMCA, On Lok, Self Help for the Elderly, NEMS, Open Hand, SF GIANTS, FORTY NINERS, SF Bible Church, etc. I’ve never met someone so busy to Grace others with service and a smile and a hearty laugh. Always too busy for himself but had the time always to help others.
