I was overcome with grief when I heard the news of Dr. Elroy Leach passing. I am however thankful for his impact on my life and his constant words of encouragement to me and my daughter. You are forever in my heart and will not be forgotten. You labored for Christ until the end so I know you will receive a crown ! Revelation 14:13

Papa, thank you for your love. Thank you for your sacrifices. Thank you for being the quiet hero in my life. I miss you already, and I’ll always be proud to be your granddaughter.
You showed me the meaning of strength, kindness, and humility without ever needing to say a word. Your wisdom shaped me, your steady presence grounded me, and your unwavering support gave me courage. I’ll carry your lessons with me every day, and I promise to honor the legacy you built through the life I live.
You were more than my grandfather, you were my safe place. Truly one of my favorite people EVER and the heart of our family.

Mr. Leach was an extraordinary man. Whenever I was in Chicago with my dad, we would often stop by, and I have such warm memories of those visits. I even attended his summer camp and spent time upstairs playing in the Barbie room with the grandkids. Over time, he truly became like another grandfather to me. His presence and kindness will always be remembered.
