Ellen and Tony friends from Toyota and Taste of Italy. Always a great time at the restaurant with them. My condolences to Tony and family. I truly miss those times. Be well Tony

Ellen and I had a-lot - no, A-LOT of fun together on a regular basis. We actually giggled like school girls about just about everything. I was Ellen's Interior Designer for her Marco Island condo with Tony. We got to know each other well, by all the decisions she had to make. It developed into one of my favorite and most precious friendships. Ellen had her knowledgeable and serious side, but she also had a Fun Spirit all the time. We could just look at each other and know immediately what was funny about the situation and laugh and laugh. I miss our fun times together. When friends came over, she would make me do my Queen Elizabeth imitation, greeting the Marco Princess (boat) from the balcony. I loved making her laugh!

Tony,

Barb and I loved Ellen as did everyone that she knew.  A great friend who we will miss dearly.  We are also having a Catholic Mass said for her in the next couple of weeks.

The first time I met Ellen was at the restaurant Taste of Italy in Calumet City , when she walked in I was drawn to her it was as if she lit up the room , that night I indulged in a little too much alcohol and I fell asleep at the bar , Ellen’s reaction was “ I like this girl !!! The rest was history from there !! I called her “Auntie” E  she was sooo special and  like a mother to me  , When I bought my 1st house she came over and showed me how to hang a picture to how to properly clean a toilet !!! When she would come visit she would always bring me so much  I called her the bag lady because she had plastic bags full of items to give me , she was such a giving person !! When I had my surgery she came over made me soup and changed my bandages I called her nurse ratchet god forbid you weren’t a good patient you would be in big trouble!! I had sooo many great times with her from South Holland swimming in her lake , to Tony Keith concerts we had to be in first row , & get on the big screen every time , and get there via limo , that’s the only way she rolled she was a 1st class lady all the way !!,soooo many good times in Marco going to Stans, Ellen always made sure we had the best table in the house reserved !!  Me and the girls would raid her closest she had the best outfits , she would catch us in there and laugh !! We would wake up in the morning with sticky notes on our doors with instructions on things to do !!!  Tony and Ellen would take us out on the boat and she had a Dolphin call that was priceless. The best of all we’re the many great conversations I had with her through the years she was soo intelligent, gave the best advice , witty and THE BEST sense of humor !!  Her caring ways and generosity she gave to me I will always cherish. I loved Auntie E who was such a classy, and beautiful lady that has touched my life in so many ways.

Tony and Beau. My heart goes out to you. I met Ellen and Tony ten years ago when we lived in the same building on Marco Island. We had some wonderful times boating or just spending time together. Ellen didn’t think that I ate a healthy diet so she would invite me over quite often to share one of her delicious meals with her and Tony. I will miss those meals but I will truly miss the sweet, kind and caring Ellen.   Lenny Pacifico
Ellen touched our lives and so many others with her sassy but loving character. I am forever sorry for losing my beloved sister in law.  Tony-so sorry you lost the love of your life, best friend and companion.  Your “first mate”. She will always be with you. Beau-know that your mother loved you deeply and the grandchildren brought her tremendous joy!
