I met Elio in November 1976. He was Chief Industrial Engineer. I was going to college at night and was close to graduation for engineering.
He saw something in me and took me out of the shop and gave me the opportunity to go into engineering.
His mentoring, as well as Don Sisk's, gave me the incentive and opportunity to gain the job I aspired to which was his original position as he was now Director of Operations.
I will always be indebted to him for his insight and leadership.

My heartfelt condolences to you and your family! Mr. Mendillo was such a wonderful man. Always so sweet and kind when we were at the house!  I have so many wonderful memories of him! May he rest easy with his wife and daughter. And may you all treasure his memory.

Elio was a good man who was always willing to share his knowledge. Learned a lot from Elio, and will always keep him in our prayers. May Elio's wonderful warm memories always be in your hearts and comfort you always.
