Ela was an amazing person who always brightened peoples days. She had a warm glowing smile, and was beautiful inside and out. She was one of the sweetest and most understanding people I knew and should’ve had a longer life to embrace her passions. We love and miss you Ela. <3

Ela Appelbaum was the bomb, human kindness and understanding was part of her character, she was incredibly relatable, atleast to me, and she was sweet like sugar, my mom and her were closer the last few years, and I adored how they knew each other so well, and how close they naturally were. I remember when we all (me, my sister and Ela) had mermaid tails, it was so fun swimming and believing we were mermaids. Ela was the best friend I have ever had.💗
