Mr. And Mrs Rummel were very consistent in attending our Sunday morning worship services at the NCSVH in Kinston most every week. It was truly an honor to be his chaplain at the veterans home. During my visits with him he would always end our meetings with “have a great day in the Lord”. He will truly be missed but we have that blessed hope in the Lord that we will see him again. Mrs. Rummel and family. Please accept my deepest condolences on your loss.

Respectfully,

Chaplain David

My first memory of Ed was the morning after we moved in.  Our doorbell rang and standing there was Ed with a plate full of muffins.  I knew then that this kind sole would become a dear friend.

Mr. Rummel was such a sweet soul.  He would come to the front lobby at the Veterans Home to go sit outside and would always speak to me and we would laugh a little.  I will never forget his smile cause it was always a pleasant smile.  He was my "buddy", I will miss him tremendously.  He loved everyone and everyone loved him.  The world want be the same without him.  God has a really special man under his wings.  I will think of Mr. Rummel each and every day.  I love you Mr. Rummel❤️🙏
